About Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology procedures are minimally invasive and performed using real-time image guidance such as ultrasound or video x-ray. Some of these procedures are done for treatment purposes, whilst others are done for purely diagnostic purposes. The images are used to direct these procedures, which are usually done using needles or catheters.
